UPDOWNSCORE — TERMS OF USE (DRAFT v1.0, 18 October 2026)
IMPORTANT: These draft terms require review by a qualified legal adviser before launching a public service. Add the operator's legal name, jurisdiction, contact address and complaint method before publishing.
1. Purpose. UpDownScore is a free educational and recreational platform for recording predictions about the direction of listed shares on India's National Stock Exchange (NSE). It does not execute trades, hold money, offer investment products or guarantee any result.
2. Not financial advice. Predictions, profiles, followers, leaderboard scores and community opinions are user-generated content. They are not financial advice, research reports, trading recommendations or endorsements by UpDownScore. Users must make their own decisions and seek qualified advice where appropriate. Nothing here represents a promise of investment returns.
3. Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old, agree to these terms and comply with applicable laws. We can suspend misuse and decline or remove usernames that impersonate people, mislead users, or violate the law.
4. Public posts. Your username, selected stock, UP/DOWN prediction, date, time, results, accuracy and follower relationships are publicly visible. Do not use your real name, contact information or sensitive personal information as your public username. Predictions are irrevocable after submission; submitted records are not editable by users.
5. Prediction window. Only eligible NSE-listed equity shares qualify. Predictions are accepted on officially approved trading sessions from 12:00 AM IST up to but not including 9:00 AM IST. The platform server determines the cutoff. One prediction per user per share per session. Trading holidays and unverifiable sessions are closed. The platform may suspend submissions when the trading calendar or price source is unavailable.
6. Results and leaderboard. UP wins only when the final verified close exceeds the prior trading session close; DOWN wins only when it is below that close. An unchanged price, invalid data or exceptional corporate action may result in an unscored/void prediction. Historical prices are retrieved through TejHQ, a third-party NSE bhavcopy processing service, after permission confirmation. They may differ from direct official NSE values. Results normally settle the following morning. Scores, rankings and accuracy are based on resolved calls in the last 365 days and may be revised if licensed price data is corrected. Ranked leaderboard eligibility currently requires at least 30 resolved calls. Public prediction results are not independently audited unless expressly indicated.
7. Accounts and data. You can create a pseudonymous account without entering an email, phone number or password. It is linked to browser-held authentication tokens and a generated account identifier. Deleting browser data, signing out or changing devices may permanently prevent recovery. Do not rely on the platform as your only copy of any record. Operational providers may process technical metadata such as IP addresses for security and hosting; please read our Privacy Notice.
8. No money, prizes or subscriptions. There are no wagers, cash stakes, winnings or guaranteed prizes. Unauthorised paid signals, investment solicitations, market manipulation, misleading promotion, spam, automation, multi-account leaderboard abuse and illegal content are prohibited.
9. Availability. We may experience service interruptions, exchange holidays, incorrect third-party prices, data delays, security incidents or site changes. We may remove unlawful or misleading material, correct settled results and take reasonable anti-abuse action. No representation is made that the service will always be available, error-free or suitable for trading decisions.
10. Third-party rights. NSE identifiers and data remain subject to applicable exchange rights and licensed data-provider terms. You may not scrape, redistribute or commercially exploit data contrary to those terms.
11. Retention. Resolved predictions older than 365 days are routinely deleted. Some unsettled records may be retained longer for reconciliation. Public usernames and relationships remain until an account is removed. Backups, security logs and provider-held technical metadata may have different retention periods.
12. Responsibility. To the maximum extent allowed by applicable law, the operator is not responsible for trading losses, missed opportunities or reliance on another user's forecast. Nothing in these terms limits statutory rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. Your own actions must comply with laws and marketplace policies.
13. Contact, complaints and changes. Before launch, the operator must publish a real support/privacy contact. We may update these terms prospectively and communicate material changes through the site. Continued participation may require acceptance of updated terms.
14. Governing law. To be determined by the operator with legal advice before public launch. No jurisdiction is assumed in this draft.
